We can usually give an estimate for a safety inspection in a rented home over the telephone.

However with commercial safety inspections we may need to visit your premises to calculate how long the inspection will take us. Then we'll be able to give you a clear quote with no surprises.

Quoting for a PAT test

Why don't we quote a price-per-test over the 'phone like some firms will?

We're aware that there is a wide range of pricing available, but sadly not all companies offering PAT testing will protect your business and staff.

Stickers on your plugs won't help you if they haven't carried out the tests properly and given you advice so you can improve electrical safety around your organisation. A safety-inspector or insurance company can tell if no proper testing has been done.

A PAT testing company that quotes a price per-test (or per item) may just be a man with stickers hurrying because he's paid on piece-work - this is extremely common. In cases reported to us, some testers haven't even bothered to look at, or test, most items in their hurry to carry out several hundred tests in one day...  imagine getting your brakes checked like that!

That's not 'cheap' - it could be lethal...
